It is widely said that, if ever Indian cinema and the world were waiting for a futuristic movie which aptly addresses the current social as well as security issues linked to the utilization or over usage of technology – especially by members of Gen Z, then this movie is an apt representation of it.
It is heartening to see the likes of Director/Writer Dr. Abhishek Shukla venturing into making futuristic movies such as Social Media Murder Society that reflects the current situation in broad light and hence he deserves all the applause and encouragement for his vivid perception of the current times.
One of a kind, this movie is a refreshing change from the routine of Bollywood romance or comedy and is sure to set the audience thinking as well as potentially lead them to re-think their strategy or views towards application and utilization of social media."
The powerful storyline that remains as the heart of the movie was written well before the Facebook–Cambridge Analytica data breach and data leak incident that took place owing to which millions of Facebook users' personal data was harvested without consent by Cambridge Analytica, predominantly to be used for political advertising globally. It is the largest known leak in Facebook history and that gives the perfect touch to the story line of social media murder society movie.

Aisha Chaudhary narrates the story of her parents Moose (her mother) and Panda (her father) from the afterlife. Aditi Chaudhary and Niren are a young couple who come from different backgrounds; Aditi is from a salubrious suburb in South Delhi whereas Niren is from a grounded middle-class family. The couple are in love and have "an active sex life", according to Aisha's narration. The couple get married and Aditi becomes pregnant with their first child Tanya Chaudhary, who dies within months of her birth due to the severe combined immunodeficiency condition. Baby Tanya was frequently ill and, while Aditi was convinced it was a serious issue, Niren dismissed it as trivial. Niren believed negligence was the reason Tanya could not be treated sooner and blamed himself for the death of his child. As Aditi mourned the death of her child, she was consoled by a Catholic nun and decided to be baptized.
Aditi and Niren have a second child named Ishaan. A few years later, Aditi bore their third child, a girl named Aisha. They later learn Aisha has the same medical condition as their first child and are heartbroken. After the doctors in Delhi give up on Aisha's treatment, the couple go to London where they learn the disease could be treated with a very costly bone marrow transplant. Niren starts working to earn the money while also asking for crowdfunding via a radio station. After several weeks, they learn several people have donated money for Aisha's treatment. The surgery is successful but Aisha is kept under doctor's watch. Aditi decides to stay in London while Niren returns to India with his family and his son Ishaan. Aditi grows overprotective of Aisha, cleaning the apartment and other items to keep Aisha away from any infection. Ishaan starts missing his mother while Niren is always thinking about Aditi and Aisha. This also starts affecting Aditi and Niren's relationship as Aditi is always occupied with Aisha and taking care of her. Months go by and Niren goes to London and asks Aditi to move back to India so that their relationship is not affected. He reasons with Aditi on the grounds that Aisha had gotten better and occasional doctor's visit can be done in India as well. Aditi tells him that they have to live here for a very long time as per doctor's recommendation till Aisha's condition is cured. The whole family moves here permanently till Aisha is cured. Niren's career grows in London and he becomes rich and their family becomes affluent. What happened to Aisha later? Watch Sky Is Pink to know!

This film follows a single day into the life of a very highly spirited and energetic teenager, Vivek who goes forward to do a very small and insignificant crime such as a initiating a mark of "protest". However, this leads to her striking a very usual and unexpected friendship with a very well-behaved, always saving the day, head boy of her school named Ashwin
What Are The Odds, is a film that shows the sweet slice of a life. It talks about the lives of two school kids belonging to the city of Mumbai. Lead characters, Vivek (Yashaswini Dayama) and Ashwin (Karanvir Malhotra) are to appear for a Hindi scholarship exam when they don’t even know each other. While Vivek is the rebellious one and edgy who always protests against an education to gender-conforming names, Ashwin is the charming head boy of the school with ‘a perfect face’ and leads a life with no issues and confrontations. However, everything goes in the other way when she decides to play Passengers on him and steals the admit cards of them both. This paves a way towards them to spend an entire day together and later become friends.
As soon as they step out of the school premises, craziness begins to seep in and we hit peak of the film. This is where senior citizens dance in the streets in red colored tracksuits, women with bob cut hair create ‘art’ with people wearing pastel outfits, kids start acting like adults and the very adults start to act like kids. Throughout all of this, the cinematography of the film continues to stay exquisite. Gorgeously symmetrical wide shots make for almost 90% of the run time and letters and random items land right in the middle of your screen. And there are so many people in costumes. While one dresses up as a bush in a forest, another one goes on to put on a bear’s mascot suit at a club and the very choir kids go ahead to put on the joker’s red nose. It all looks very pretty and gives you a tonne of lovely screenshots for your film review which you will be tempted to write after watching this classic, but other than that, it serves small purpose. Interesting enough? Watch now to explore the odds!
